I've never been a big fan of the old cliche 'a picture paints a thousand words'. In the digital age more than ever a photo may not be the truth and is very rarely the whole truth; context is everything. A strong photograph can draw you into a story, or text can illuminate hidden depth in an image. A picture and a thousand words, now that really has the potential to tell a story.
